Derma Medical Foundation Cosmetic Injectables Training - Derma Medical

Derma Medical Foundation Cosmetic Injectables Training

Our 1 day foundation cosmetic injectables course will equip you with the knowledge and skill to carry out the most commonly requested facial aesthetic injectable treatments. Online reading materials will be provided in advance of the course so that on the day, this will simply be re-enforced, enabling us to focus more on the practical hands-on training.

Your comprehensive hands-on training will be supervised by highly-skilled and experienced aesthetic trainers in small groups to maximize retention of knowledge. Plenty of time is allocated to this part of the day, so that you are confident to practice independently afterwards.

Delegates can either choose this one day foundation course, or opt for our 2 day Combined Course which also includes our Advanced Cosmetic Injectables training day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend the courses?

Our combined cosmetic injectables training courses are open to the following medical professionals;

Doctors
Dentists
Registered Nurses
Endorsed Enrolled Nurses

Following the course, however, registered nurses and endorsed enrolled nurses performing injectable procedures must work under the supervision of a doctor and all nurses would need to buddy up with a prescribing doctor to purchase dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle products.

Where do the training courses take place?

We run our combined cosmetic injectables training courses across Australia. Our courses run every 4-6 weeks in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney.

Do you train international delegates?

Our Australian based cosmetic injectables training courses are open to registered doctorsdentists, and nurses with up to date registration in Australia. International delegates are only eligible to train in Australia with an up to date license to practice.

Will I be insured to inject during the training course?

Our cosmetic indemnity insurance covers you to inject on the day of your training course. Upon completion of your course, we strongly recommend you take out your own cosmetic indemnity insurance. Our cosmetic training courses are accredited by Australia’s two leading aesthetic insurers, Medisure and HPI Online. You will receive certificates upon graduation allowing you to gain insurance.

I'm a non-prescriber, can I still complete the course?

Yes, as long as you are a registered medical professional on the list of who we train. We provide prescribers on the day to ensure you can carry out your practical training.

Following the course, however, you will need to buddy up with a local prescriber or use a prescriber service when ordering both anti-wrinkle and dermal filler products. In line with the latest guidelines, prescribers can consult patients face-to-face or via video call before prescribing anti-wrinkle or dermal filler products.

Do I have to arrange a model to attend with me?

We provide all cosmetic models for our training courses. Our courses are 50% practical with plenty of live cosmetic models on each training day to make sure you get lots of hands-on practice on real-life patients.

If you have any friends or family interested in being a cosmetic model for our training days they can get heavily discounted treatments for the purposes of teaching. Please visit our models section for more information and to book any treatments.

How can I book and pay for my training course?

You can see up to date information on available course dates on our course booking page.
