Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We have answers. Here are some of the most common questions we get asked about our Dermal Filler & Anti Wrinkle Injection Training courses. If you need any further information please contact us by clicking the button opposite.

Who can attend the courses?

Our courses are open to the following medical professionals;

  • Doctors
  • Dentists
  • Registered Nurses
  • Endorsed Enrolled Nurses
Can nurses train in Cosmetic Injectables?

Registered nurses and endorsed enrolled nurses are fine to complete our courses and we provide prescribers on the day to ensure you can carry out your practical training.

Following the course, however, registered nurses and endorsed enrolled nurses performing injectable procedures must work under the supervision of a doctor and all nurses would need to buddy up with a prescribing doctor to purchase dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle products.

Do you train international delegates?

Derma Medical Australia training courses are open to AHPRA registered Doctors, Dentists and Nurses. International delegates are able to train with us in our United Kingdom training courses, however, they are unable to train with us in Australia without an AHPRA licence.

Before booking your Derma Medical course, it would be worth checking what is required in your country to practice injectables. Every country will have differing rules and regulations regarding aesthetic medicine.

Where can I get Cosmetic Indemnity Insurance

After training you will be able to  obtain Cosmetic Indemnity Insurance through providers such as Medisure and HPIOnline. You will be issued training certificates by us after training which will allow you to take out indemnity insurance and start practising in aesthetics.

What is included in the foundation and advanced courses?

Our courses consist of theory and practical sessions that will equip you to treat your clients safely and effectively. The morning will consist of both didactic and interactive lectures on facial anatomy, ‘the ageing face’, and how to consult your clients. The afternoon will focus on putting theory into practice with a live demonstration followed by one-to-one supervised delegate treatments on live models. To finish off we will discuss the business side of cosmetics and employment options following training.

How can I book and pay for my training courses?

You can see up to date information on available course dates on our course booking page.

We use Stripe as our own website payment gateway and can accept payments from all major Debit and Credit Cards (including American Express). Stripe is a secure way of paying online and protecting all your sensitive card details.

If you prefer, you can pay by debit or credit card over the phone by telephoning us on +61 (0)437 975 959. We also accept bank transfer payments. Email us at training@dermamedical.net.au for more details.

What do I need to bring with me?

You only need to bring yourself! Electronic material will be sent to you prior to the course, so the focus can be on developing the practical side on the day. Pens and paper are provided on the day for taking notes and we will send you copies of the PowerPoint presentations used and our patient consent forms. We arrange all live models for the practical sessions so you get plenty of hands on experience. Lunch is also provided – so please let us know of any special dietary requirements you have before the course.

Do I have to arrange a model to attend with me?

We provide all cosmetic models for our training courses. We have 30+ live cosmetic models on every combined course training weekend to make sure you get lots of hands on practice on real life patients.

If you have any friends or family interested in being a cosmetic model for our training days they can get heavily discounted treatments for the purposes of teaching. Please visit https://dermamedical.net.au/models for more information and to book any model treatments.

Do I get a certificate for training?

Yes, a certificate will be emailed to you after the course to allow you to gain cosmetic indemnity insurance and start practising.
